Brief submitted to the Committee on Citizen Relations concerning Bill 18 – An Act to amend the Civil Code, the Code of Civil Procedure, the Public Curator Act and various provisions as regards the protection of persons

The Order puts forward measures to make the amendments proposed by the bill more efficient and to enhance the protection of vulnerable persons against financial abuse when it occurs despite the safeguards in place to prevent such abuse before it happens (in French only).

Comments on Bill 162 submitted to the Committee on Labour and the Economy

The Order has submitted its comments on Bill 162 — An Act to amend the Building Act and other legislative provisions mainly to give effect to certain Charbonneau Commission recommendations — to the Committee on Labour and the Economy. The Order’s comments relate specifically to the proposed amendments to the Building Act concerning immunity and protection against reprisals granted to any person who communicates information about a violation of the Act or its regulations (in French only).
